Greetings, Captains!
The U.S.S. Voyager has faced the Borg, the Kazon, and the vast silence of the Delta Quadrant. None of that will prepare you for what comes next. Q has taken an interest in your journey—and catching Q's interest is never a good thing.
Q Trials, a free new rogue-lite mode, and the Equinox DLC are available now on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. And John de Lancie has returned to voice the one, the only, the infinitely self-satisfied Q.
TIME TO PUT ON A SHOW FOR Q
If you know Q, you know he gets bored easily and the Voyager just became his new source of entertainment.
He reimagines the long journey home as a grand theatrical spectacle with himself as director, audience, and notoriously harsh critic, forcing you to play the lead role in his new masterpiece!
The Delta Quadrant is his stage, rewritten and reshaped whenever he pleases. You and your crew are his unwilling acting ensemble, and Q keeps shredding the script just to see if you can keep up.
Q Trials is a roguelite mode, grow your research and heroes each run, throw in modifiers that give extra rewards, and turn every journey home into a different test:
Randomized events posing new unexpected challenges and keep Q entertained
Far more freedom in how you build your crew, with the trade-offs that come with it
More gameplay, less reading, making for faster runs
Want to finally promote Harry Kim? Maybe go crazy and make him captain? Q will have opinions... He will most definitely have opinions, and he will not keep them to himself. Every unconventional decision you make earns a running commentary from the galaxy's most powerful backseat driver.
The Equinox DLC: A Harder Road Home
Launching alongside the free update is the Equinox DLC, the next DLC installment in the Expansion Pass. It adds the U.S.S. Equinox as a second playable ship for Q Trials, the rogue Nova-class vessel that broke a few rules trying to survive the Delta Quadrant.
If Voyager ever felt a little too comfortable, the Equinox will fix that. Smaller ship. Less room. Fewer crew. In other words, exactly the kind of ship Q would strand you in and then sit back to watch.
The DLC includes:
The U.S.S. Equinox as a playable ship for Q Trials
Captain Rudolph Ransom, the man who made some questionable choices
First Officer Maxwell Burke
Ensign Noah Lessing
The Equinox-exclusive "Spirits of Good Fortune" questline
Don’t forget about the Delta Chronicles!
The Q Trials may be the newest chapter, but if you haven’t made your way through the Delta Chronicles DLC, there is still a Quadrant full of stories waiting. But wait, there’s more!
Delta Chronicles 2 and Q will return for more Delta Quadrant trials. Get ready for the next installment of your favorite Federation ship and crew coming soon.
Delta Chronicles added a collection of new missions, recruitable heroes, six new technologies, and four NPC ships to your journey. In case you missed any of it:
The Best Way In: The Expansion Pass
Here is the smart captain's move. The Equinox DLC is included in the Expansion Pass, right alongside Delta Chronicles and the DLCs still to come. One purchase, the whole voyage. Or, you can grab the shiny Captain title with the Captain’s Collection which includes the Expansion pass and Deluxe DLC which adds more missions, recruitable heroes and tech!
If you want everything the Delta Quadrant has to offer, from Barclay's shortcut to Q's impossible trials to the packs still on the horizon, the Expansion Pass is the way to get it.
Grab the Expansion Pass now, take the helm, and show Q exactly what humanity is made of. The trial is waiting, Captain.
See you in the Delta Quadrant, Captains!
