The game itself is gem. But its very badly ported to PC and Steam. Game was even more playable on ancient PS1. Because of poor emulator, that drops fps on every AI populated locations, this game version is unenjoyable... If you want to play somehow and see minimum freezes, run game in window mode with 600x800 resolution..

Pros: - unlimited lives is a godsend Cons: - It sucks to play on a second monitor using a PC setup with the display settings available. Fortunately I have a steam deck. - the steam cloud game save indicated on steam page is a lie. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game but the game save is not being restored.

Just like all of the other metal slug games on steam this one is so poorly emulated its not worth buying. Also im like 99% sure the steam page for this game was AI generated lmfao
