Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy is a punishing climbing game, a homage to Jazzuo's 2002 B-Game classic 'Sexy Hiking'. You move the hammer with the mouse, and that's all there is. With practice, you'll be able to jump, swing, climb and fly. Great mysteries and a wonderful reward await the master hikers who reach the top of the mountain.
To quote Jazzuo himself: "The hiking action is very similar to way you would do it in real life, remember that and you will do well".
Climb up an enormous mountain with nothing but a hammer and a pot.

Between 2 and ∞ hours of agonizing gameplay, depending. The median time to finish for my playtesters was 5 hours, but the mean was closer to ∞.
Lose all your progress, over and over.

If you were running the game on an M1 mac, it would've crashed at the end of the game and failed to post a Steam achievement. That's fixed now.<br><br>Sadly the secret at the end of the game doesn't work on M1 macs. That's beyond my control, so if it's impor

The first run is famously very hard and rage inducing. Took me 3 hours and 33 minutes on my first time getting over it. Now I've gotten over it 54 times and my fastest run is 4 minutes and 54 seconds, and I have no intent of stopping here. Very enjoyable game once you learn how to play properly, highly recommend this game.

i would rather be stuck in a perpetual state of having to listen to cringy songs used by fandoms such as hazbin hotel or my hero academia play on repeat on one of those old crt tvs, whilst being strapped to a chair as a surgeon rips my genitalia off with his bare hands every two minutes than EVER play this god forsaken game again 10/10

i recommend this game if you love a challenge. only if you love a challenge. this game is so incredibly frustrating, i do not recommend to people with anger issues. its very fun but man do i want to rip my hair out. played on mobile for a bit, and pc is easier, but not easy. probably wont touch the game again, i enjoyed watching other people suffer to beat the game
