The world is breaking… AWAKEN - Astral Blade is a 2.5D action-adventure metroidvania where you play as Tania, a bionic warrior fighting through a world twisted by Karpas energy. What began as a search mission quickly turns into something far more sinister, as the missing investigation team proves to be only the beginning. A mysterious force has corrupted the land itself, twisting wildlife and vegetation into hostile, unpredictable forms. But this world doesn’t explain itself, and you uncover its truth piece by piece.
Master a precise and responsive combat system built around speed, timing, and control. Chain together dynamic combos, parry incoming attacks at the perfect moment, and turn defense into offense. Use Quick Rise to stay in the fight, and dash through enemies to slow time itself, gaining a brief window of invulnerability and devastating counterattacks from hordes of enemies and bosses.

I do like the way the game play is and the story is okay but there is a emphasize on the girl boss and it is a bit in your face when females are talking to each other.

I’ve been having a great time with Awaken - Astral Blade. As an older gamer that started out on the NES playing Metroid and Castlevania, this game has been a blast!
